Date Daily Ltd ("the Academy", "we", "us") — Registered in England & Wales, Company No. 08754312. Registered office: 14 Albemarle House, Clerkenwell Road, London EC1R 5DF, United Kingdom. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern the enrolment in, access to and use of courses, workshop programmes and coaching services (collectively "Services") offered by Date Daily Ltd. By submitting an enrolment or enquiry form, or by making a payment for any Service, the learner ("you") agrees to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before enrolling.
1. About the Academy and the Services
1.1 Date Daily Ltd operates an online academy providing structured educational programmes in conversation skills, social confidence, modern etiquette and professional communication. All Services are delivered online unless otherwise explicitly agreed in writing.
1.2 The Academy offers three principal categories of Service: (a) self-paced courses accessed via an online learning platform; (b) cohort-based workshop programmes combining self-paced content with scheduled live sessions; and (c) individual coaching programmes delivered in one-to-one sessions with a named instructor.
1.3 Descriptions of Services on the Academy website are provided for general information. Detailed programme specifications, including module content, session schedules and instructor assignments, are confirmed in writing upon enrolment.
1.4 The Academy reserves the right to modify course content and module structure to reflect current best practice in communication education, provided that the core learning outcomes of any enrolled programme are maintained.
2. Enrolment
2.1 Enrolment is initiated by completing and submitting an enrolment or enquiry form on the Academy website. Submission of a form does not constitute a binding enrolment; enrolment is confirmed only upon receipt by the learner of a written confirmation email and, where applicable, upon receipt of payment.
2.2 Learners must be aged 18 or over to enrol. By enrolling, the learner confirms that they meet this requirement.
2.3 The Academy reserves the right to decline an enrolment application, including where a programme is fully subscribed, where a learner is assessed as unsuitable for the programme applied for, or where these Terms have previously been breached by the applicant.
2.4 Where an Academy-recommended prerequisite exists for a particular programme, learners are advised to complete that prerequisite before enrolment. The Academy may recommend, though not require, prior completion of lower-level programmes.
2.5 Enrolment in a cohort-based programme secures a place in a specific cohort with fixed session dates. Cohort dates are confirmed in the enrolment confirmation email. Cohort availability is limited and subject to change.
3. Payment and Fees
3.1 Fees are as published on the Academy website at the time of enrolment confirmation, denominated in GBP (pounds sterling) and inclusive of UK VAT where applicable. For learners based outside the United Kingdom, VAT treatment is determined by applicable international rules.
3.2 Payment for self-paced courses and workshop programmes is due in full prior to the commencement of platform access. Payment for individual coaching programmes is due in full, or in accordance with an agreed instalment schedule, before the first coaching session takes place.
3.3 Accepted payment methods include major debit and credit cards and bank transfer. Invoice payment terms of 30 days net are available for organisational enrolments of five or more learners, subject to prior agreement.
3.4 Where a payment instalment plan has been agreed, failure to meet an instalment payment may result in suspension of access to Services until the outstanding balance is settled.
3.5 The Academy issues a VAT receipt or invoice upon confirmed receipt of payment. For organisational invoices, please contact learn@datedaily365.com.
4. Cancellation and Refunds
4.1 Statutory cancellation right: Learners who are consumers (individuals contracting for non-business purposes) have a statutory right under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 to cancel within 14 days of enrolment confirmation ("cooling-off period"), provided that platform access has not been activated or services have not commenced. To exercise this right, notify the Academy in writing to learn@datedaily365.com within the 14-day period.
4.2 Where a learner requests that platform access or sessions commence before the end of the cooling-off period, the learner acknowledges that the right to cancel is extinguished once the Services have been fully performed, and that a proportionate charge applies for Services accessed if cancellation occurs mid-performance.
4.3 Self-paced courses: After the cooling-off period, or where platform access has been activated, no refund is available for self-paced courses.
4.4 Workshop programmes: Cancellations received more than 14 days before the first scheduled live session of a cohort programme are eligible for a refund of 75% of the programme fee. Cancellations within 14 days of the first session are not eligible for a refund, though a credit may be applied to a future cohort at the Academy's discretion.
4.5 Individual coaching programmes: Individual coaching sessions cancelled or rescheduled by the learner with fewer than 48 hours' notice may be forfeited without refund. Sessions cancelled by the Academy with fewer than 24 hours' notice will be rescheduled at no additional cost or refunded at a pro-rata rate.
4.6 Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 14 days of approval and are net of any non-refundable processing fees charged by payment providers.
4.7 These provisions do not affect the learner's statutory rights.
5. Platform Access and Intellectual Property
5.1 Upon confirmed enrolment and receipt of payment, the learner is granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Academy's online learning materials for personal educational purposes only, for the duration specified in the enrolment confirmation.
5.2 Standard self-paced course access is provided for 12 months from the date of enrolment. Extended access may be available on request and subject to an additional fee.
5.3 All course content, including video recordings, workbooks, audio materials and written resources, is the intellectual property of Date Daily Ltd or its licensed contributors. Learners may not reproduce, distribute, share, re-upload or commercially exploit any course material, in whole or in part, without express prior written consent from the Academy.
5.4 Live session recordings, where made available to enrolled learners, are provided for personal review only and must not be shared or redistributed.
6. Learner Conduct
6.1 Learners are expected to engage with all Academy programmes and live sessions in a respectful, constructive and professional manner consistent with the values of courtesy and considerate communication that the curriculum itself promotes.
6.2 Conduct that is abusive, discriminatory, harassing or otherwise disruptive towards instructors, Academy staff or fellow learners — in live sessions, discussion forums or any other Academy communication channel — will result in suspension or permanent removal from the programme without refund.
6.3 Learners must not misrepresent their identity, qualifications or affiliation when engaging with Academy programmes or in any communication with the Academy.
6.4 Academic dishonesty, including submission of another person's work as one's own in any assessed component, will result in disqualification from certification for the relevant programme.
7. Academy Obligations and Service Continuity
7.1 The Academy undertakes to deliver Services with reasonable care and skill and in accordance with the programme specifications confirmed at enrolment.
7.2 In the event that a named instructor is unavailable, the Academy will endeavour to provide a suitably qualified replacement. Where this is not possible, affected sessions will be rescheduled.
7.3 The Academy will use reasonable endeavours to maintain availability of the online learning platform but does not guarantee uninterrupted access. Planned maintenance will be communicated in advance where practicable.
7.4 Where a programme is discontinued before completion, the Academy will offer affected learners an equivalent replacement programme or a pro-rata refund for the uncompleted portion.
8. Limitation of Liability
8.1 The Academy's liability to learners is limited to the fees paid by the learner for the specific Service giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits the Academy's liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, fraudulent misrepresentation or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
8.2 The Academy makes no guarantees as to specific outcomes resulting from participation in any programme. Learning outcomes described on the Academy website reflect the intended design of the curriculum and reported experiences of prior learners; individual results will vary.
8.3 The Academy is not liable for any indirect, consequential or economic loss arising from participation in or inability to access any Service.
9. Certificates of Completion
9.1 Certificates of completion are issued to learners who complete all required modules or sessions of an enrolled programme and, where applicable, submit and pass any assessed components. Certificates are issued in digital format.
9.2 Date Daily certificates are issued by the Academy as evidence of programme completion. They are not regulated qualifications and should not be described as such. The Academy does not represent that its certificates are recognised by any external professional body unless expressly stated.
10. Governing Law and Disputes
10.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms or the Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where applicable consumer protection law provides otherwise.
10.2 The Academy participates in the Alternative Dispute Resolution process. Learners with unresolved complaints may submit a complaint in writing to learn@datedaily365.com. The Academy will acknowledge the complaint within five working days and respond substantively within 28 days.
10.3 These Terms were last updated in January 2025. The Academy reserves the right to revise these Terms; current Terms apply to new enrolments from the date of their publication on the Academy website.
